A relatively new crop - planted only 15 years back, with the Coffee Board in India, looking to expand its footprint outside of the Southern India.
This is created with the SL795 variety of beans - an Arabica bean that is grown in medium to high elevation and has tall plants. The fruit is complex, acid and sweet at the same time, delivering a consistent but complex cup. The crop is planted at a higher altitude and with colder temperatures, the cherry it produces has less sugar when plucked. This is a coffee with a SCA score of 86+ consistently and is also organic.
Processing is done using traditional washed method.
